Asian Markets Tumble At The Open, Hang Seng Off 150

Asian markets have opened for trade and are trading substantively lower, with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng down more than 150 points, or 0.8 percent, to 18,876.

Japan’s Nikkei is off 0.7 percent to 8,526 in response to a weak close in New York, when the Dow and S&P 500 fell 0.6 and 0.7 percent, respectively.

Australia’s S&P ASX is also in the red, with the index down 0.7 percent to 4,034.

    its ‘paying your tithes’ not ‘paying your ties’. the reason being is catholic belief to pay a tithe (10% of your income) to charity
